If we've never met before, there are a few things you should know about me.

I'm the kind of person who reads the museum plaque, takes the scenic route, and asks one more question when everyone else is ready to move on.

A few years ago, I flew into Philadelphia when I needed to be in Maryland simply because I wanted an authentic Philly cheesesteak before driving the back roads the rest of the way. I've never been particularly good at taking the most direct route when there's something worth discovering along the way.

The truth is, I photograph a lot like I travel.

Of course we'll get the images you came for. But I'm also always looking for the side quest—the unexpected laugh, the detour, the moment that wasn't part of the plan but somehow becomes everyone's favorite photograph.

At home, life revolves around my husband, our two children, and our dogs. We homeschool, explore, read, and rarely pass up an opportunity for an adventure. I'm endlessly curious, usually learning something new, and I feel professionally obligated to inform you that I have a completely reasonable and perfectly under-control addiction to coffee and my Breville.

Maybe that's why I became a photographer in the first place.

Beyond the camera

I'm sara

I believe we meet many versions of the people we love throughout our lives. The toddler who insists on wearing rain boots to the beach. The little boy with the missing front tooth. The teenager who suddenly looks more grown up than you remember.

Some chapters are easier to say goodbye to than others.

That's why photography matters to me. Not because life needs to look perfect, but because some seasons pass so quickly that we don't realize how much we'll miss them until they're gone.

After seven years behind the camera, I've learned that the moments we think we'll remember forever are often the first ones to fade.

That's what I hope to preserve—not perfect photographs, but a piece of a season you'll want to return to years from now.

what i believe

The best photographs are almost never the ones we plan.

Of course we'll get the images you came for, but some of my favorite photographs happen in the moments nobody expected. The unexpected laugh. The toddler who decides the camera is the least interesting thing at the beach. The look between two people who have spent years building a life together.

That's why my sessions are designed to feel less like a photoshoot and more like time spent together.

You don't need to know how to pose. Your children don't need to sit perfectly still. And your spouse certainly doesn't need to love having their picture taken.

My job isn't to make your family perform for the camera. It's to create enough space for you to relax, connect, and enjoy being together. I'll offer guidance when you need it, step back when you don't, and gently lead you through a session that feels natural from beginning to end.

The best images almost always happen in between the poses anyway.

We'll make space for the unexpected moments that often become the favorites.

The laugh you didn't see coming.

The hand that instinctively reaches for yours.

The little things that feel ordinary now, but won't forever.

I'd love to tell your story.
